QUEZON CITY, Philippines, 30 March 2019 — The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) and Caring Cup (by CBTL) partnered with Children’s Hour in celebrating Women’s month with beneficiaries from ERDA Foundation, Inc. through a series of inspirational talks and an art workshop.
Caring Cup volunteers and speakers spent the day empowering young women from ERDA Foundation through a series of talks and an art workshop. Over 20 beneficiaries from ERDA Foundation were given the opportunity to attend this workshop.
With a powerful line of motivational speakers: Marjorie Duterte, Marianne Mencias, and Kat Nantes—our child beneficiaries were enriched with compelling life lessons and insights that remind them of their value as empowered women and individuals. Each talk gave inspiring testimonies that highly encouraged the participants to rediscover self-love and empowered them to be their best selves.
The speakers also gave the beneficiaries copies of their books: Love Yourself as God Loves You by Marjorie Duterte and Why is My Forever Taking Forever by Marianne Mencias. These gifts will serve as a reminder of what they learned during the event.
Under the Strengthening Children’s Awareness and Participation project of Children’s Hour, ERDA Foundation helps the beneficiaries to learn their rights and responsibilities as Filipino citizens and how they can contribute in their own local communities.
Children’s Hour envisions a nation where Filipino children have access to their basic rights, such as the right to participation, which will allow them to enjoy a happy, safe, and fulfilling future. This is achieved with the help of the foundation’s One Hour Campaign, where they invite individuals and companies to donate at least an hour’s worth of their annual salary. With your continuous support, Children’s Hour can help more children nationwide to achieve their dreams.
