In its continuing thrust to provide medical services to marginalized Filipino children, Children’s Hour awarded Operation Smile Philippines Foundation Inc. P505,000.00 to be used for Children’s Hour’s “ONE HOUR; A THOUSAND SMILES” project on reconstructive facial surgery due to cleft and other facial deformities. The reconstructive surgery for children with cleft palate will not only correct their facial deformities but also help in healing the psychological and emotional traumas of the target beneficiaries. The ceremonial event happened last May 24, 2011 at The Peninsula Manila, Makati City. The activity was attended by the grantee’s heads and officers as well as members of Children’s Hour’s Board of Trustees, and Operation Smile Philippines Foundation representatives.
