CHPI at Ayala Center Cebu

In celebration of its 10th campaign year, Children’s Hour Philippines, Inc. (CHPI) relaunched its movement in Cebu through a whole-day fun safari activity held at the Ayala Activity Center Cebu last January 22, Saturday themed the “Great Safari Adventure.” The line up of activities included fun-filled games and a wide selection of booths such as a glitter face paint station, a photo booth, a jungle-themed balloon bouncer, and a safari arts & crafts center. Ice cream and animal cupcakes were also made available to the kids’ delight.

To butter up the event, a short program was held in the afternoon to further raise Cebu’s awareness of CHPI’s fund-raising efforts. CHPI advocates placed painted handprints on the commitment wall to symbolize their support to CHPI’s mission to make the world a better place, one hour at a time. To further promote CHPI’s interests, CHPI Executive Director Evangeline Mayuga and ABCCI President Darlyn Superales rallied Ayala Center Cebu patrons to join their cause.

The highlight of the program was the wholesome fashion show dubbed, “Kids for Kids Fashion for a Cause.” Children of Ayala Malls A-Club and City Sports Club Cebu members, ages 6-12 years old, took center stage and cat walked in clothes from Rustan’s Department Store, Kaboosh, OshKosh B’Gosh, Spin, Orange Juice, Big & Small Co., Eyes Candy, Crocs and Accessorize. To make this segment more significant, these participants not only showcased this wonderful collection, but more importantly, highlighted the value of giving by donating to CHPI.

CHPI, in partnership with Ayala Business Club Cebu, Inc., Cebu City Marriot Hotel and Ayala Center Cebu, was able to reach out to over 200 guest participants who were mainly comprised of children and their parents. Proceeds of this successful event will go to Children’s Hour projects that will help improve the lives of marginalized Filipino children in the Visayas region.
